Soak

Start with a relaxing foot soak with essential oil, to soften the skin. This will also make exfoliating your feet a lot easier. Let them soak for around 20 minutes and then give them a good clean with your favourite soap and rub them dry with a soft cloth. If you want to take a little short cut, pop some Epsom salts, rich in magnesium, into your warm water soak to help with the exfoliation.

Do this a couple of times a week to get your feet summer ready.

It’s a bit gross but your feet are likely to be covered in dead skin after being cooped up all winter. To keep your them nice and supple, exfoliate your feet regularly.

Just choose the method you prefer:

  • Scrub them gently with a pumice stone
  • Use a salt or sugar scrub on a cloth and give them a good rub
  • You can also get yourself a foot file and start buffing away the hard skin. Don’t get carried away though – you are getting rid of dead skin, and this shouldn’t cause any irritation or redness!

Moisturise

Choose your favourite moisturiser and rub in thoroughly – do this every time you’ve soaked and exfoliated or showered, to get your feet soft and smooth.

Don’t apply any moisturiser between your toes - these areas are like a 5-star hotel for bacteria, so don’t give them any more moisture!

After all your hard work on your feet – don’t forget your toenails – now is the perfect time to get a pampering pedicure!
