Learn to drive safely and confidently

Geoff is a licenced C Class instructor and has many years’ experience in teaching people of all ages to drive. He offers lessons in an automatic vehicle, and you can be sure you’ll be learning safe and effective driving skills. As well as learner drivers, he offers driving lessons to overseas drivers and seniors who might need a refresher.

Automatic vehicle 

Geoff offers automatic driving lessons only. This allows the learner driver to give the road, other traffic, and hazard identification that little bit more focus, and many beginner drivers find it easier to learn when they can give their full attention to communicating with their driving instructor.

Lessons for new drivers

It can be extremely stressful learning to drive with a family member, especially at the start when there is so much information to take in. For the sake of family harmony, it’s best to call Geoff to take the pressure off!

There are many benefits of using a qualified and experienced driving instructor:

• They are calm, controlled and have seen everything!
• Dual controls! They can stop the car or prevent it from stalling with separate controls to the driver.
• Teaching your own child to drive can be a challenge for even the calmest of people.
• They know the examination process and what is needed to be successful.
• A professional driving instructor will customise driving lessons to match different learning abilities.

Planned lessons

Geoff plans lessons that are aimed at passing the Department of Transport's driving test. Some of the things you will be tested on in your practical driving assessment will be:

• Making three-point turns
• Parallel parking
• Turning in & out of driveways
• Parking in car parks
• Putting the road rules into practice
• Seeing & responding to hazards
• Negotiating roundabouts

As you progress, Geoff will also include experience in driving on busier roads.

Geoff finds that by taking a calm and patient approach to teaching people to drive, it increases their confidence, and he can get the best out of new and inexperienced drivers.

Overseas drivers

If you hold an overseas licence, eventually you will need to convert it to a WA drivers’ licence. Geoff can provide patient and expert guidance in an automatic vehicle.

Refresher courses

If you haven’t driven for a while or feel as though your driving skills aren't quite up to scratch, Geoff can provide a refresher course to give you added confidence on the road.
