Ingredients
- 2 cans chickpeas
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- pinch chilli powder (optional)
Method
- Place the washed chickpeas on a clean tea towel and dry them as much as you can.
- Toss them in a bowl with the oil and salt.
- Spread them over a baking tray in a single layer and bake at 180ºC for around 45 minutes, or until crispy and the centres are no longer chewy.
- Shake the tray a couple of times during baking to agitate the chickpeas for even browning.
- Combine all the other spices and toss the chickpeas in the spice mix as soon as they come out of the oven.
- Best eaten the same day.
